Ambraziūnas Alfonsas Vincentas

Alfonsas Vincentas Ambraziūnas was born in 1933 in Valmantiškiai village, Kaunas County. In 1952, he graduated from Vilkija Secondary School, and in 1961, from the Vilnius State Art Institute, where he studied sculpture under Professor J. Mikėnas. He works in the fields of monumental, decorative, memorial, and small-scale sculpture, and also creates portrait compositions and molybtypes.

Since 1959, A. V. Ambraziūnas’ works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Lithuania, as well as in Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Italy, and Austria.

Public Activity

A. V. Ambraziūnas worked for many years in the sculpture section and on the board of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union, and served as deputy chairman of the Monumental Art Council under the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture.
