Mackevičius Vladas

Born in 1981 in Vilnius, Lithuania

“It is always better to give than to receive…”. This is one of the rules that Vilnius artist Vladas Mackevičius constantly follows.

While still studying interior design, the creator felt an endless attraction to the visual arts, especially painting. Creating interiors of various styles, the artist satisfied the wishes of even the most demanding customers, offering them not only non-standard interior ergonomic solutions, but also frescoes and paintings. Then, as soon as he touched painting, the artist realized: his career as an interior designer would not last long, because it would be replaced by a growing passion for life – painting.

So in 2003, the artist turned to the path of professional painting, then he combined this discovery with the designed interiors. Not long after, two years later, V. Mackevičius’s personal gallery of works opened its doors in Vilnius.

Today, the young artist can confidently say that he has done what most of his peers fail to do – to discover himself. In painting, V. Mackevičius sees intangible opportunities for self-realization and a “new wind” contribution to the history of Lithuanian painting. One of the painter’s most important goals is to convey as many positive emotions as possible to a world full of negativity and envy through art, to draw attention to true values and humanity. After all, life is beautiful. Only very often it is overshadowed by insignificant everyday worries.

Five years of persistent and purposeful work cannot remain without results. The name of V. Mackevičius from Vilnius is known not only by most representatives of diplomacy. Also, many world-class show business representatives, such as Joe Cocker, Vaya Con Dios, Emir Kusturica, Roisin Murphy ( Moloko ), Filip Kirkorov, Ennio Morricone and others, admire the artist’s paintings.

In 2007, the artist’s work was presented to the Vatican, H.E. Peter Stefan Zurbriggen to the Apostolic Nuncio.

Social activities.

V. Mackevičius himself organizes or participates in various cultural events organized by others, where he demonstrates his artistic skills live through painting. The painter often joins in sponsorship and charity events organized by like-minded people from Lithuania and abroad.
